The Massachusetts Skills USA 22nd Annual West District Leadership and Skills Conference.

The event took place on Thursday, March 12th, 2009 at the
McCann Vocational Technical High School in North Adams, Massachusetts.

CareerTEC’s Skills USA President Nikita Garcia from Agawam in Design and Visual Communications won a Gold Medal in the Advertising Design competition.

CareerTEC’s Skills USA Reporter Josh Fish from Ludlow in Graphic Communications won a Silver Medal in the Graphic Communications competition.

CareerTEC’s Skills USA Secretary Felicia White from Longmeadow in Culinary Arts won a Silver Medal in the Culinary Arts competition.

Rose Schack from Longmeadow in Cosmetology won a Gold Medal in the Over 500-Hr. Cosmetology competition.

Bethany Foxe from Southwick in Cosmetology won a Bronze Medal in the Over 500-Hr. Cosmetology competition.

Cody Chapin from Wilbraham in Carpentry won a Bronze Medal in the Carpentry competition.

April Casey from Wilbraham in Culinary Arts won a Bronze Medal in the Culinary Arts competition.

Alex Hinks from Wilbraham in Design and Visual Communications won a Bronze Medal in the Advertising Design competition.

Nikita, Josh, Felicia, and Rose will compete in the State Leadership and Skills Conference in Marlboro on May 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
